Marco Grassi, after working as an intern in Texas Instruments, Dallas, in 2001, pursued Master and Ph.D degrees in Electronic Engineering at University of Pavia in 2002 and 2006 respectively. In 2007 he joined as a research fellow the Integrated MicroSystems and Sensors (IMSĀ²) Lab of University of Pavia, where he is now Associate Professor since 2024.
His research activities are in smart sensor read-out integrated circuits with particular focus on pixelated detectors for space applications, gas sensors, microphones, and inertial sensors as well as A/D converters. He is full member of IEEE and of Audio Engineering Society and co-CTO of VoltaPlant, a University spin-off company whose focus is on green energy harvesting. His lectures are about Digital Integrated Circuits Design, Electronics for Industrial Measurements and Mechanical and Thermal Measurements. He had published 36 Journal papers, 22 book or proceeding chapters, 96 international conference proceedings, 33 workshop proceedings and holds 7 international patents.
